screen ACTING FOUNDATIONS for the PERFORMING ARTIST: WINTER RESEt
For dancers, singers, theatre performers, and creatives wanting to build confidence on camera and step into screen acting.
Winter has a funny way of convincing us that we should simply become tiny little burritos for three months. And while there is absolutely nothing wrong with staying warm with hot chocolate and becoming one with your oversized jumper, maybe - this year - instead of waiting for winter to end, you use it as a training ground and enter spring with a whole new skillset.
Screen Acting Foundations for the Performing Artist was created to be a space where performers can grow their ability, build confidence, explore new skills, and broaden their opportunities.
Come grow as a performer and see what becomes possible.

About Caz
Hi, I’m Caz - founder of the StretchiFlex and all ‘round fun human.
Prior to working professionally in film and production for the past seven years as a Producer and Director, I trained in screen acting, worked in screen acting, and later moved into acting coaching at a local theatre company, where I spent over a decade helping performers grow in confidence, receptivity to direction, and truthfulness in performance.
Throughout my career on both sides of the camera, I’ve worked with many talented performers who want to step into screen acting - people who may already have stage experience, musicality, movement training, or professionalism on set, but haven’t yet developed the foundations of screen acting:

Not at all. This course was designed specifically for performers wanting to move into screen acting — including dancers, singers, theatre performers, and creatives wanting to build confidence and learn foundations. If you already have performance experience, you’re probably bringing more transferable skills than you realise.
-
Absolutely. Theatre and screen acting share many foundations, but they also require different tools and approaches. This course is designed to help bridge that transition in a practical and supportive way.
-
Absolutely. While this course was designed with performers broadening into screen acting in mind, you do not need to be brand new to benefit from it. Performers with previous screen acting experience will still be challenged and supported through scene work, technique exploration, direction, and practical application each week.
There is always room to deepen your work, refine your instincts, strengthen your process, and continue growing as a performer.
-
Yes. That’s exactly why multiple cohorts are available. Choose from morning, evening, or Saturday options depending on what works best with your schedule.
-
Life happens! If you're unable to attend a class, please let us know prior to the session where possible. You’ll still receive any relevant scripts, technique workshop information, or class materials for that week so you can continue progressing through the course.
As the program is designed as a small-group training experience, refunds or class credits cannot be provided for missed sessions. However, missing the occasional class won’t leave you behind in the overall course structure or progression.

We understand that performers often balance rehearsals, shift work, study schedules, and wonderfully chaotic creative lives. Mixed schedule (for example, Monday morning and Thursday evening) are now possible and able to be selected upon application. If you have a changing schedule and need weekly flexibility, please email carolyn@thestretchiflex.com to chat through options and notice periods.
